Council Exchange Students in New York 2001

These are Council Exchange students from all over the world coming to USA for the whole high school year,they come from everywhere on the planet to be placed for one school year in anytown USA of which they do not choose they are picked by all types of people from all over our country from a very big city to a very small town

Who are they: Council Exchanges.orgThey are a non profit organization that among other things places kids from all over the world in high schools all over the USA the kids must be between 15 and 18 to sign up for the program have good grades and have some english

What they do: Council has offices or partners in many countries and the kids come in to there offices and sign up if accepted for the program they will provide information about themselfs like country town cit etc they also and I consider this the most important they must write a letter about themself and the parents also although only one page it is how I pick my kids.

Why should you host: Well there are many reasons, like bring our world closer together, by hosting you help the kids in your community learn first hand other cultures, they also learn that people are the same all over the world, you might learn things about a country and a small community you might not ever learned had it not been for this program, you also make life long friends across the planet and that makes the world smaller and more friendly, I would have to say that they become my son's and daughter's and nothing tops that!
